DIY Embellished Bandanas

Accessories, DIY, Featured  /   /  By Aimee Santos

This past festival season, there was one accessory I saw tons of my favorite style icons wearing: the bandana. Sometimes it was an accent on a handbag or another accessory, but I especially loved seeing it worn around the neck, knotted in front or back. If you want to up the ante a little bit, here’s how to embellish your bandana to give it a cool, edgy vibe.

Materials:

Steps:

1. Fold the bandana in half to make a triangle shape. Fold the tip of the triangle to the base. Fold in half length-wise, and repeat until the bandana forms a band that is approximately 2″ to 2 ½” wide.

2. Lay out your stud design onto the center area of the folded bandana.

3. Add a dab of adhesive to the back of each stud (using a bbq stick or lollipop stick) and glue in place. Let fully dry before wearing.
