Color Preview: How to Style the Top Shades for Fall

Apparel, Featured, Outfit Ideas, What's Trending  /   /  By Lily Montasser

Can you feel it? The ever-so-slight chilling of the air, the days getting a bit shorter. Fall is at the door, knocking gently. And that means swapping out summer colors and instead opting for more autumnal hues. From saturated burgundy to glorious green, this season’s shades are rich, earthy, and bold. Whether you’re rocking a single sweater or going for a full monochromatic look, scroll to see the ways we’re styling fall’s top five colors.

1. Mad for Mustard

Mustard yellow came onto our radar this time last year, and it’s still going strong well into Fall 2017. But you don’t have to drench yourself in the condiment to get the look: a cozy, oversized sweater and black jeans will do the trick just fine. So cute.

2. Green Light

Go green this season with a monochromatic look. For an unexpectantly fierce daytime ensemble, we’re pairing our army fatigues with lace-up combat boots.

3. Navy, Baby

A refined classic, there’s something inexplicably chic about navy. It’s one of our top colors for fall and is worn best with simple pieces (think: streamlined blazers and straight-leg jeans).

4. Lady in Burgundy

Oh, what a strong color! We recommend wearing burgundy with textures that enhance the richness of the hue. A thick ribbed knit, glossy leather skirt, and supple velvet boots pack a powerful punch.

5. Camel’s Back

Camel has been a fall essential for years, and we don’t see it going anywhere anytime soon. A tie-waist coat is a wardrobe staple, and the asymmetrical hem on this beauty is a nice twist the time-honored silhouette.
