7 Ways to Wear Spring’s Bold New Blooms

Apparel, Featured, Outfit Ideas, What's Trending  /   /  By Lily Montasser

A seasonal classic—florals are a staple print when it comes to spring style. But this year, they’re being presented in a new way. With bright colors, bold design, and head-to-toe prints, these are not your prim and proper florals. From standout country dresses to statement suits, it’s all about bold blooms in 2017.

1. Garden of Eden

From printed florals to embroidery snakes, this look deserves a leisurely garden lunch in a grand estate. Do like they did on the runway, and top it off with a fabulous “ladies who lunch” hat.

2. Spring into It

Another major trend this season, bralettes are layering pieces we love and stylish alternatives to tops when you’re wearing high-waisted bottoms. As festival season fast approaches, keep this look in mind for fabulous desert adventures.

3. Country Girl

We saw a lot of full floral dresses on the runway this season. And we LOVE them worn prairie-girl style with a pair of chunky boots and a messy head of hair.

4. Flower Power

Not for the average wallflower, this season is all about going bold. Suit up in strong printed separates like this striking Delpozo combo.

5. Simple Stems

From Marni to Ferragamo, the simple approach is another favorite this season. Let a large, bold print stand on its own with minimal accessorizing.

6. Dark Rose

You can also embrace the darker side of florals. A burgundy lip and black lace flats are a feminine approach to the trend without being too girlie. Think mysterious, smoldering, Italian style.

7. Full Bloom

Everyday favorites like jeans and a leather jacket get an upgrade with full-on floral embroidery. A favorite with bloggers and editors, these standout essentials give daily dressing a stylish twist.

Hi Carolyn! The black floral skirt is the Seville skirt by Tibi. Allison, the snake boots are by Gucci! And Zanaya, so sorry, but we don’t know who makes the floral dress pictured with the adidas. Readers! Let us know if you recognize the dress and can tell us who makes it. Thanks! Nina
