What she’s wearing:
Describe your style:
I gravitate toward clean lines and tailored silhouettes with interesting details. I like to mix polished pieces with more casual ones. And since I live in the Bay Area, layers are key. On a typical day you’d find me in one of my blouses, worn-in jeans, Converse sneakers, and a sweater or jacket.
How do you translate your look from the workplace to the weekend?
I’m lucky in that I can pretty much wear the same looks on and off the clock. I typically wear heels for events and flat boots or sneakers when I’m on-the-go. I’m just not one of those women that can live in heels. I need to be able to run around and get things done!
What’s in your makeup bag?
I don’t wear very much makeup, but my sister-in-law recently turned me onto Givenchy’s Phenomen’Eyes mascara. I’m in love with how long it makes my lashes!
Slow cooker recipes. If I don’t plan ahead, dinner won’t make it onto the table.
Your saved eBay search words:
Who is your style icon?
Lauren Bacall was amazing—from her effortless style to how she carried herself. She was all over my mood boards this past season.
Next on your must-buy list:
A new industrial sewing machine. You probably guessed it from my eBay search words.
What’s at the top of your wish list?
A new snowboard. My current board is a little too short (I know, I’m petite, but my board is short even for me!), which makes riding in powder super challenging.
What’s one piece you plan to keep forever?
My Lanvin Quilted Happicolo handbag.
What can’t you see yourself wearing, ever?
Never say never, but I’m not a turtleneck person. I just can’t pull them off.
Favorite eBay find:
Fabric. Not on purpose, but I have trouble keeping my personal fabric stash from growing out of control.
Paris for a year. Does that count as a getaway? I just love that you can get lost in Paris. No one cares whether you’re a tourist; they just kind of ignore you and let you discover the city for yourself.
Song most played on your iPod:
You mean iPhone, right? Old school Korean music because I recently uploaded a bunch of songs from CDs I’ve had since college.
