Break the (Fashion) Rules: Wear White After Labor Day

Apparel, Featured, Outfit Ideas, What's Trending  /   /  By Lily Montasser

No white after Labor Day? Says who! We’ve never played by the rules, so we’re fully supportive of breaking this September trope. It’s all about how you wear it—think chunky white knits, chic cream trousers, and snowy structured handbags for a very cool approach to seasonal style. Scroll to see how we’re (proudly!) rocking the fashion taboo.

1. Get Knitted

It may not be chilly enough to bust out the big-time sweaters, but a sleeveless turtleneck is a great transitional piece to get that fall feeling. Wear with breezy culottes and some go-with-everything silver slides.

2. Shades of Grey

Want a fresh approach to all-white layers? Mix shades of silver and grey for a monochromatic look that isn’t quite so blinding.

3. Casually Cool

White jeans are a crutch piece for the change from summer to fall. Match with a lightweight leather jacket and snakeskin boots for an edgy, urban look.

4. Go BIG

Oversized sweaters and thigh high boots are always a winning combo in our fashion playbook. Adding an on-trend circle bag and chunky bracelet is icing on the cake.

5. Suit Up

An all-white suit is a power woman classic. Chic and crisp, style it with gold hardware and sleek kitten heels.

6. Get the Boot

White ankle boots are one of the hottest trends of 2017. Mod-inspired and very versatile, we’re wearing them with a zippered mini and sweet ribbon-trimmed sweater.
