Persons of Interest, Storytellers  /   /  By Roxanne Fequiere

Marketing Strategy Director,

*What she’s wearing:

H&M mohair sweater, DKNY shell, vintage jeans, Isabel Marant boot

Palo Alto, CA

Describe your style:

My style is always pretty casual and involves a mix of investment items, like cashmere sweaters and Acne ankle boots, with really old jeans or Zara linen t-shirts. I appreciate the subtlety of mixing high and low, feminine and masculine, and unexpected prints and textures. I also have a tendency to buy in bulk on items or brands that I know fit me well.

How do you translate your look from the workplace to the weekend?

I work in a mostly casual environment, so what I’d wear to work usually involves tailored but casual pieces with loafers, clean sneakers, or ankle boots. I might start with the same tailored basics I’d wear to work, but mix it up with old thrifted Levi’s or ripped jeans on the weekend.

Latest obsession:

My two Mansur Gavriel handbags. I own the bucket version and the tote, and they’re so utilitarian, minimal, and beautifully crafted.

What’s in your makeup bag?

Dr. Pepper Bonne Bell Lip Smackers always—I’ve been wearing this stuff since my high school days—Caudalie beauty elixir, Tarte lip tint, and hand lotion.

Your saved eBay search words:

Isabel Marant, Céline, turquoise jewelry, Robert Clergerie shoes, ‘70s crafting books, Sassy Magazine (I am still in denial that my collection from the ‘90s was thrown away by my mom!), Alexander Wang, Mexican jewelry.

 Who are your style icons?

I would be lying if I didn’t say Kate Moss and Sienna Miller for their ability to put anything together and make it look chic and totally “undone.” I admire Emmanuelle Alt and other Parisian ladies for their feminine androgyny. Of course, any ‘60/‘70s babes too, like Jane Birkin, Lauren Hutton, Bianca Jagger…oh, and Andy Warhol, too!

Next on your must-buy list:

High-waisted skinny jeans in all washes.

What’s at the top of your wish list?

I’m trying to hunt down the nude Céline ankle-strap mules from last year’s spring season!

What’s one piece you plan to keep forever?

A moto leather jacket—timeless.

What can’t you see yourself wearing, ever?

Anything in Paris Hilton’s closet?

Favorite eBay find:

Replacement Isabel Marant boots that I lost, brand new and for a steal. Also, a really rare/old/original print museum pamphlet on Giacometti that I framed as a gift for my boyfriend.

You collect…

Dainty jewelry, ankle boots, plants.

Dream getaway:

Baja, Mexico—it’s still so untapped and rugged.

Song most played on your iPod:

Right now, anything from The War on Drugs.

Favorite city to shop in:

New York City and Paris.
