For Halloween, I love to challenge myself and try to create an outfit that is inspired by fashion trends. This year, I was drawn to all the lace I have been seeing on the runway shows. As I scoured my craft closet, I found leftover scalloped lace trim from a past project and decided to make a chic lace mask. I finished the look with my favorite lace romper for a Halloween look that is so easy to make.
Materials:
– embellished scalloped lace trim
– scissors
– thread
Steps:
1. Cut two matching pieces of lace trim so that each piece exposes two full scallops (as seen below). Then, place the lace pieces mirrored against each other and slightly overlap them.
2. Sew the two pieces of lace trim together by sewing each area that overlaps each other.
3. After sewing, trim around mask (as seen below), so that it fits better on the face.
4. Then, cut two 12” pieces of satin ribbon. Sew each piece on the left and right side of the mask.
