Accessories, DIY  /   /  By Aimee Santos

Our DIY blogger is Aimee Santos of Swellmayde, one of the best maker blogs we know.

Stars have been all over the runway shows and is currently one my favorite trends. With fall just around the corner, I wanted to create a DIY boot tutorial and incorporate stars. In just a few easy to follow steps you can personalize your boots and make them runway ready. Can’t wait to wear them!

1. Add a generous amount of e6000 adhesive to a paper plate. Dab a bit onto a BBQ stick or wooden chopstick.

2. Place the dab of e6000 adhesive onto the back half of the boot. Quickly place a large star stud on the e6000 adhesive (as shown).

3. Continue gluing large star studs. Scatter the placement all over the back half of your boots.

4. Repeat steps 2 and 3 with small star studs to fill in the empty areas on the back half of your boots.

A very sharp boot. How about adding some fringes on the front? Make a cowgirl affect.
