How to Wear Pantone’s 2016 Colors of the Year

Apparel, Featured, Outfit Ideas, What's Trending  /   /  By Ashley Mariano

Earlier this month, we introduced you to Pantone’s 2016 colors of the year: Rose Quartz and Serenity. A couple weeks later, we’re still so smitten with the subtle and dreamy shades of pink and blue that we decided to create some outfit inspiration for you guys. Here are nine ways to wear the two colors together or apart:

Rose Quartz

The soft pink shade works well with a variety of skin tones and colors. But we love it best with deep maroon, cream, and burnt orange.

Serenity

With a name like this, you can’t help but feel calm and at peace while wearing this cool blue hue. For the best effect, turn to the other side of the color spectrum: pair it with dark green, black, and pops of marigold.

Although baby blue and pink scream ’90s, you can still wear the colors in a modern way. This powerful combo can be worn to work, a casual weekend brunch, or a night on the town.
