It’s an Insta-worthy tropical sunset, it’s Kesha’s trendsetting dye job from 2013… It’s Beyonce’s blue manicure in Why Don’t You Love Me, it’s Kirsten Dunst’s Jordan almond and macaron-colored aesthetic in Marie Antoinette… It’s Pantone’s 2016 Color of the Year! (Or should we say colors!)
That’s right. In an historic first, color expert and home decor, fashion, and beauty trend leader Pantone named two colors its color of the year for 2016. Allow us to introduce you to Rose Quartz and Serenity, a powerful cotton candy-colored combo that affirms a “more is more” point of view and symbolizes more tranquility, more relaxation, more compassion, more weightlessness, and more balance for the coming year.
Through our post-holiday haze of rushing around, stressing out, and battling crowds, we couldn’t be looking more forward to the era of peace and rest that Rose Quartz and Serenity promise to usher in. We’ll be incorporating this calming combo into our wardrobes with Rose Quartz bags and pale pink Zara goodies, as well as Serenity bags and baby blue picks from Zara. (Psst, check out Pantone’s Pinterest board for drool-worthy pastel pink and blue pin-spiration!)
