Spied on the Street: Bundled Up

Persons of Interest, Street Style  /   /  By Nina Louie

Every winter, there comes a time when all questions of style go out the window and it’s just about keeping warm. Out come the base layers and Sorel boots—every day. You automatically put them on along with all the warmest pieces in your wardrobe, and hope that the result isn’t too ridiculous. In fact, your only hope of staying remotely stylish is to coordinate your coziest pieces well ahead of this moment—winter’s low-point. And that’s what Style From Tokyo blogger Rei Shito seems to have done. Her boots go with her stole goes with her coat goes with her pompom hat. Blue jeans and a black bag tie it all together. It’s harder than it looks to assemble a look like this—cute and cozy enough to hang around outside shooting on the streets of NYC. We salute her adorable-even-in-winter style.
