On Our Radar: Lizzie Fortunato

Lizzie and Kathryn Fortunato are living the dream—that is to say, anyone who’s ever dreamed of having a twin sister (we have!), and, better yet, working with said twin sister on a daily basis (again, we have!). The pair are the masterminds and driving forces behind Lizzie Fortunato, a collection of eclectic yet classic, storied yet clean jewelry pieces & accessories that are truly beautiful. Scroll below to take a gander.

“Fortunato” is from the Latin word Fortunatus, which means fortunate, blessed, and happy. And blessed they are. Lizzie and Kathryn are each halves of the Lizzie Fortunato brand: one designing and one running the business. Fun fact! Not only do they share the magical bond of sisterhood and get a steadfast partner in the office, but the two also have someone with whom to walk through the most important parts of life—they walked down the aisle within 3 months of one another.

The stunning outputs of this destined partnership are not intended for the wallflower. Instead, the pieces add intrigue, character, and depth to the globetrotting, cultured woman who deigns to sport these one-of-a-kind gems. Each thoughtfully designed item employs a mix of high/low details brought to life via mixed and unexpected materials. Brooklyn-based Lizzie prides herself in using handmade materials that are not mass-produced. The self-described magpie firmly believes in dressing yourself to tell a story and giving a voice to your own unique experiences.
