Shoe of the Week: adidas Iniki Runner Boost

There’s about to be a new “it” sneaker in town, and it looks a bit familiar. On April 20th adidas launched the Iniki Runner Boost—a cool new sneaker with old school style. Inspired by the ’70s classic trainer, this shoe combines modern design with throwback style. Making for one stylish mash-up.

The ’70s mark the birth of the modern sneaker. From the Nike Cortez to the classic New Balance, it was the decade where fashion became just as important as function for athletic footwear. With suede uppers, round cap toes, and contrast color combos—this was the birth of the sneaker as we know it.

With a sleek sole and that iconic ’70s blue, red and off-white color scheme, the Iniki is the perfect way to brighten up a daytime outfit. Rock a pair of these colorful kicks with straight leg jeans and a leather jacket for a cool off-duty look.

These shoes are sure to sell out fast, but you can cop a pair of these throwback trainers right here.
