If there was one thing we noticed at New York Fashion Week, it was all the girls in sneakers. By far, this was the most pervasive trend among the street style set. We saw every type of trainer (except wedges!), from classic Keds to vintage-style New Balance to techy Nikes to colorful Converse to Vans-style slip-ons in snakeskin and leopard and flannel. All were paired with skirts, dresses, and otherwise luxe, ladylike styles that would have called for cute little flats or even fierce heels in seasons past. It’s pretty impressive—the return of the comfort shoe. What do you think? Are sneakers sweet relief or would all these outfits look better with Louboutins?
