If you recall, London-born and New York-based former model-turned-designer Jane Mayle opened up shop on Elizabeth Street in Nolita in 1999. There she sold Mayle, a collection of romantically ruffled, lacey, and cameo laden pieces that were beloved by stars like PJ Harvey, Kim Gordon, Liv Tyler, Kirsten Dunst, Sophia Coppola, Maggie Gyllenhaal, and Natalie Portman.
To the disappointment of her cult customers, Mayle shuttered her store in 2008. Now, after taking time off to combat fashion fatigue and plot her next move, she’s back! Pre-Fall and Fall 2016 collections for Maison Mayle were presented at Mayle’s home in Greenwich Village on February 8th and will be exclusively available to shop at Barneys New York this month.
To celebrate the return of Mayle’s super-feminine, vintage-inspired designs—some of which are holdovers from the OG line—check out the Mayle archives on eBay. We’ve got 174 listings for you to drool over. Cheers to that, and welcome back, Jane Mayle. You were missed.
